Last night I went to Salt Creek Quilter’s Guild meeting (Countryside, Illinois) to sell raffle tickets and talk about Alliance membership. This is a guild that has always been wonderfully supportive of me and my efforts so even though I am not a member, it always feels like going home. Anyway, it was fun to see people and know that they were following along with my blog/adventures. However, the person that really made my night was Claudia. Her enthusiasm took my breath away! Not only did she sing the praises of an organization that I love (The Alliance for American Quilts) and this blog but she joined as a member AND bought raffle tickets AND promised to donate to the auction we will be having (I’ll give you details when things are finalized) to raise funds. She made the evening incredibly pleasant for me (I didn’t have to sit alone in the corner.) and she was fun! I also watched her during Show and Share where she shared not only the wonderful vest she was wearing but thanked the person that organized the workshop. She is an excellent example of how it doesn’t take much to make another person’s night a little brighter. It was a good reminder for me. Thanks Claudia! Hugs, Karen

Wow–I’m blushing. Great to see you the other night. It’s fun to share a passion for quilts–life is good!
