Keti is Here! Keti is Here!

I could hardly sleep I was so excited. I felt like a child on Christmas Eve. Keti was waiting for me when I arrived at O’Hare. It seems visitors are processed more quickly than citizens. We headed home and she was full of questions. I love watching the wonder in her eyes. After a short stop and tour of my house, we headed off to a quilt shop. It was too much fun watching her! We hit the sale bin of patterns and purchased 4. One for a gift and the others to make. Needed food so we went to the grocery store. Again, I had more fun than I’ve ever had at a grocery store. Stopped to enlarge Karen Stone pattern of her first project. The 4 inch block scared her so we made it 8. Another stop at Trader Joe’s. She thinks we will be able to eat a month on what I bought. I tell her she hasn’t watched guys eat. She lives in a household of women and I live in a household of men. Anyway, we return home and begin working on her project. We get ALL 12 blocks done and on the design wall. Head to the kitchen to make cheese cake. I introduced Keti to cheese cake. We stopped at the British bookstore in Tbilisi and I bought cheese cake. It had an interesting flavor but it’s made with cottage cheese instead of cheese cake so I’ve promised her my cheese cake. Anyway, she had a full day and managed to stay awake until 9:30. This is going to be so much fun! Karen
