(90 minutes northeast Indianapolis; 2 1/2 hours west of Columbus; 2 hours south of Michigan; etc) You can help by posting this to friends and other lists. THURSDAY – JULY 13 — All-Day Porcella Workshop: Flexible Fusible Fantasy Fabric Pictures. (See the article in Quilting Arts Magazine Summer 2005, pg. 38-44, for an example of some of the work that will be done in this class.)
FRIDAY – JULY 14 — 2:30 – 3:30 – - Porcella Lecture: Variations on a Theme Begin with inspiration from ancient textiles, add artistic expression, stir in a big dose of creativity and enjoy the powerful art generated by different hands, influenced by the same theme.
SATURDAY JULY 15 — 8:30-11:00AM — Half-day Porcella workshop: Quick Clips Hand Appliqué. Using black as a background, flowers and fruits in bright colors will be free hand cut to make unique hand applique blocks. Some patterns offered in class but students are encouraged to try new designs by cutting different shapes.
