The raffle quilt drawing party at my house on May 21 was a lot of fun even though no one at my house won it. I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Shelly Zegart, our president, was the winner but when her name was drawn she had it quickly put back. I would have loved to have seen her face. Just in case you don’t know, the party was at my house in Illinois but the actual drawing took place in Kentucky. Anyway, our official winner is Joyce Valencia of Modesto, California. Yvonne Porcella sold the winning ticket and will deliver the quilt to Joyce in person. We will have a picture on the website and I’ll let you know when you can see Joyce with the quilt. I thought it wouldn’t bother me to send the quilt off but I cried on the way home from FedEx. Thanks to everyone who supported this last raffle quilt.
